Clay Beard Studio. A dream in the making.

My name is Christopher Kinney, and I am a full time working potter in Southwest Missouri. 

I have been working with clay for the last 10 years, 5 of which have been full time.

My inspiration for forms and glazes come from a mixture of

English, American, and Japanese folk pottery. I currently work with midrange stoneware and high-fire domestic porcelain to make functional and sculptural pieces.

My goal is to make art for your everyday enjoyment and use.

 

We started Clay Beard Studio officially in December 2020, which certainly had it's ups and downs. Our business has slowly grown over the last 4 years and we couldn't have done it without the support of you, our customers, and our friends and family encouraging us along the way. ​
